Our History

 

We are a small but extraordinarily committed group of believers seeking by God's means to impact our community.

 

New Hope is affiliated with the Church of the Nazarene denomination and is part of the Midsouth District. As a denomination we are highly mission and service focused.

 

The church was originally founded in 1932 as Berclair Church of the Nazarene. 

 

The church moved to its current location in 1980 when it purchase the facility that was previously owned by the Spurgeon School. In 1990 a local Weslyan church chose to merge with Berclair In 1995 First Church of the Nazarene elected to merge with Berclair Church of the Nazarene and the church changed its name to New Hope Church of the Nazarene.
